Quick Trip Back to the Northern Territory, Warm Country!

Giinagay You Mob, Long Time

Well firstly I gotta say how spoilt I have felt with The Putbacks, I wanna thank Paul Kelly & The Merri Soul Sessions for having us open 5 of their gigs, it was awesome playing at some of the cool theatres and I gotta say I am pretty surprised at how many nice people I met and how many bought a copy of our Album “Dawn”, thank you so much to those who really supported us and enjoyed our songs, I hope to see ya’s all again very soon.

Took a quick little trip up to the North Coast close to Gumbyngirr country well not far, Bunjalung Country home of Blues Roots festival and played a few gigs with brother Declan Kelly, he presented Diesel N Dub gigs up there and there was a mob on stage, Uncle Frank Yamma joined us as well as Radical Son & Tony Hughes as well as my brother himself Declan Kelly on Drums and Vocals, for those who don’t know much about Diesel N Dub its a pretty dubbed’ reggae’ vibe gig of a few Midnight Oil songs/classic, we had a deadly time and I enjoyed all the gigs there as well as performance with the mob from Rock Quiz, we did a version of The Putbacks “Black Woman” and Vicka & Linda Bull sung some harmonies with me too, I honestly can’t tell you mob how lucky I feel that I sang with them, Im also happy to tell you that soon I will be going The Rock Quiz crew again on TV this time on TV, Look Out for our version of some 90’s songs Airing on SBS on the 27thof June, should be cool.

Finally I am happy let ya’s know I am doing what I love the most, and thats writing music with young kids, Black Arm Band Company have invited me to the Northan Territory for their 2015 Remote Tour, Visiting the communities of Beswick, Gumbalanya & Maningrida,

Over the years I have made some very special friends and families in the NT , It reminds me of the first time I went bush with Mick Meagre & Rory Mc Dougall (The Putbacks) and we toured a lot back in the day (2006)

Thanks so much for stopping by, Im gonna enjoy the dry season up this way now and get ready for the rest of our tour, Big Thanks again for everyone who has made it to our past gigs, big shut out to Sydney and the Mid North Coast of NSW as we looking to travel that way in June as well as a possible trip with The Putbacks the NT too,

yarn soon & yarri yarrung (see you soon)
